In 1997 I started my first business, and all I can say is what a disaster. If stumbled along for just over three years during which time I tried to merge with other businesses in the hope of a quick fix jump to growth. It was not to be, all I was left with was a struggling company, a huge pile of debt.

However I was left 100% of the company, re launched it in 2003 as Multimedia Entertainment Group, focusing and the rental of sound, lighting and staging to the events industry. Once we found our feet had a slow and steady growth period through to 2006, when I got involved in the property boom and launched a Air Charter company. I was young “34” at the time and believed I was invincible, so I took on massive debt to grow as fast as I could.

In 2007 when the world economy crashed it effected my badly. I went through 2 and a half of the toughest years of my business career, and I am still recovering. However during this period I learnt more about myself and business than I could have imagined. Hence the reason I started this web site.

In the later half of 2010 I started getting back on my feet and my company started moving forward, www.meg.co.za was growing and we launched www.megvision.co.za which is growing nicely.

Having read Jim Collins book “Good to great” and “Great by Choice” there approach of the 20 mile march now in hind site makes so much sense.
